How exciting it is to be a part of such a dynamic congregation! New faces appear every Sunday, and how great it is to see so many new people assuming leadership roles in the church.
Two of our newer members, Wendy Culpepper and Arlene Cornier, created an outstanding inspirational Mother’s Day service on May 11. If you didn’t attend church that day, you missed a real treat.
We have lots of opportunities for you to get acquainted with both the new and older folks who attend church here. You can sign up to volunteer in coffee hour for the next three Sundays.
On a fun note, 11 of us attended the Michigan Opera Theater production of Die Fledermaus on May 16th where our own Celeste Headlee delighted the audience with her performance as Sally. The theater parties organized by Margaret Beck and Faye Colling and the concerts, fundraisers and other social activities have provided opportunities to get to know each other while having a good time. From Tom Cranston…Thank you very much for allowing the Heartland District Youth Steering Committee to use your church last weekend for their Annual Election/Bridging Conference. It is especially appreciated in light of the lateness of our request to use it.
In addition, a special thanks to Sarah, Jenny and Jessica for their presence and helpfulness throughout the conference. This made the job much easier for the staff.
Please accept the enclosed check for $200.00 as a donation from the Heartland UU District Youth Steering Committee as a token of our appreciation for helping us promote and further the development Youth Programming in our District.
For the Heartland District Youth Steering Committee and the Staff of the Election/Bridging Con, thanks for your support.
