Women's Alliance

Women's Alliance of 1st UU Church holds monthly luncheon/program meetings from September through June. They are held on the third Wednesday of the month except for December and June that are held on the 2nd Wednesday.

Our program topics for the next two months are:

• November 19, 2008: Catherine Ferguson Academy
• December 10, 2008: (2nd Wednesday) Christmas Musical Program

All are invited and membership is open to all. Luncheon begins at Noon and costs $8. Reservations for the luncheon portion need to be made by calling the Church Office by the Monday preceding the meeting day so we know how much food to prepare. There is no charge for the program portion. The program begins about 1:00 PM. Everyone is welcome!

The Alliance is affiliated with the Unitarian-Universalist Women's Federation (UUWF). Dues are $25 per year. The entire amount is sent to the UUWF to support their projects. UUWF supports projects world wide through grants that benefit women. Joining the UUWF is strongly encouraged. Those who pay dues receive a newsletter from the UUWF and have voting rights with regard to Women's Alliance business.
